Adverbs

At the moment I am:

Wondering how /if it's possible to move to the States.
These thoughts constantly swirl around my head when the weather is as shit as it is currently. I want to live in a place like London but with warmer weather. LA is the answer.

Considering admitting to you that I own all the ABBA albums. But that's maybe a little too much information.

Confused by this billboard near the Tube station at home.

I don't know if you can make out the words but they say, "what's more, he's Jewish."

The ad is for JDate - a dating website for Jews (d'ya see what they did there?!) but I'm really confused.

Surely Jewish people, above-all, should know that not all other Jewish people look like Woody Allen?!

The first guy I went out with was Jewish. He gave me a book about converting and I still have it. I'm still thinking about it actually.

I was in Fiddler on the Roof at school, I know some Yiddish phrases and I live in North London.

Hmm...

Did I ever show you some pictures from New Year's Eve?

The weird thing about seeing that in real life is that it really looks like it looks in the picture. It's odd.

Like the Hollywood sign or Buckingham Palace - you see them and you think "yeah, that's it - but in pictures it looks a lot different, perhaps better."

Fireworks behind Big Ben really looks like that. It's like your brain can't really believe that it's real.

I'm trying to think what other things are like that but I can't. The Eiffel Tower maybe? Or famous artwork.

I think that's where we're going to leave this post. I'm thirsty for a cup of green tea.

Will someone put the kettle on please?

The tea is steeping, but you have to come to Los Angeles, CA, 90068 to get it.

Maybe the site is after some gentiles - bit like chubby chasers on some other specialist dating sites.

As far as converting - I cant remember from last time the gold trunks cames out - whether you already circumcised - which brings the question - if a guy converting is already circumcised do you have to get more chopped off for your covenant with god.

Dicks: I know - I can't think of anything. That's the terrible thing. I'm worried about it.

Monty: I went onto JDate already to find out. No luck. I think it would be hilarious if he was actually not on JDate. And a gentile too...

Anon: 90068. Is that like the spin-off of 90210. Is Brian Austin Green in it? I only care if BAG is in it.

Fleets: I checked this out already. Don't worry. If you're circumcised then you don't have to do it again. But they do check. Just incase.
There are black Jews but no ones with foreskins. Black Jews with foreskins - ohmygod. Line up with the Taleban Wives Stripper Group please.

Timmy: That's lewd. Brilliant! x

You should move to New York. I ditched London for it a few years ago and haven't looked back. It's as exciting as London (maybe even more), it's sunny most of the time and warmer than London 3/4 of the year! Of course, the winter here is extremely cold, but still, it's sunny. In the summertime, you can go to the beach every weekend - even by subway!! Pretty decent sandy beaches too. Plus, there's Fire Island... And all that with 40 daily 6h flights to London, so dirty weekends back home are very possible! Are you tempted?

Anon: Okay - talk to me. What passport did you have? How did you get the right to live and work in the US? That's the only thing holding me back...

European. They love us here, it's not as hard as most people think! Then again it depends heavily on what you do for a living. I imagine it would be nearly impossible for a foreigner to find a job in the financial sector right now. Otherwise though, look for job listings and send them your CV! If you work for a company that has any sort of presence in the US, look up L-1 visas. They're probably the easiest way to get here. H1-B, the normal foreign worker visa, is hard to get and there's an annual cap on how many they give, but there are other options like O-1, the extraordinary ability visa (you don't really have to have extraordinary abilities, I know dancers and singers who're on O-1s), the J-1 if you're an academic, etc. Also the diversity visa (green card lottery) is totally free to apply for (but you can't enter it if you're British). Getting married to a US citizen or green card holder will also do the trick! They have to be of the opposite sex unfortunately though!!

Sorry, after living in the states, I would disagree that moving there now is a good move at this time.

The recession has hurt all businesses, not just financials, and businesses aren't hiring. Even if you did take a job, it could be in jepoardy from day one as things are not good economically right now.

I would wait until things with the economy improves.
